Welcome to ELB Counselling Services and thank you for visiting. My name is Emma, my pronouns are she/her, and I am a person-centred counsellor working online and telephone based in Kent.

 

About Me

My name is Emma Brand and I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and Registered Member MBACP. I qualified in 2018, having completed a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

I have a private practice which is based via online/video and telephone.

I am passionate about working creatively and have experience working with diverse groups and minority communities, including people who are neurodivergent. I have experience working with people with sensory impairments and understand the importance of communication, accessibility and individuality. I also have experience in working with, and am part of the LGBTQ+ Community. 

I am qualified in British Sign Language Level 3 and have worked with people with a dual sight and hearing loss.

Looking for support and thinking about counselling can be daunting; but I hope from my information you can learn more about me and what I can offer to help you. I hope to empower you through listening to achieve balance, which is why I called myself ELB Counselling Services. 

In my practice I commit to offering a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space where you can feel comfortable to talk openly about how you are feeling. I am aware sometimes it can be hard to talk to someone you know as they may have an opinion or be involved.

Sessions & Fees

During the first session, we can discuss together what you would like to explore in counselling; if you have had counselling before, and I can share how I work. In the first session I cover my client agreement which explains more about confidentiality and the model of counselling I work to.

I also offer a 30 minute free consultation before committing to sessions, please contact me to discuss this.

Please note my fees are currently £50 per session, with counselling students I offer concessionary rates, please contact me to discuss further. I use online banking and Paypal for payment - more details will be provided via a client contract. 



FAQ's

Where are you located?

I am based in Kent, but work remotely all over the UK. My work is undertaken within the legal and ethical guidelines of English law. If you are based outside of the UK, please let me know and I can provide further information and resources.  

How is my data kept safe?

I adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

How long are sessions?

Sessions last 50 minutes and are held either weekly or fortnightly depending on our agreement at the same day and time.

There is no maximum limit to the number of sessions, you may continue for as long as you feel the sessions are of use. The decision to end therapy is yours; nevertheless, working together towards a planned ending and having a closing session can be important to reflect on the work completed.

Do you accept social media follow requests?

I do not accept friend or follow requests on social media due to ethical boundaries.
